Your first recovery phrase backup
Your recovery phrase is a recovery credential, not an everyday password. Create an offline copy before placing meaningful assets in a wallet.

Follow these checks in order
Choose a private space
Avoid screen sharing, recordings, cameras, and people who can view your display.
Write it down accurately
Copy the full word sequence by hand and compare it twice without storing it online.
Store it deliberately
Protect the paper from damage and unauthorized access; do not keep it next to an unlocked device.
Know the recovery path
Understand where recovery happens, but never type the phrase into a support chat or linked website.
SECURITY BOUNDARY
Knowing when to pause is part of wallet security
If a network, permission, or phrase request differs from what you expected, stop and verify through an independent, trusted channel. Never sign just because of a timer or an urgent message.
Never enter recovery credentials into an unfamiliar page.
