Protect private keys and recovery phrases
Private keys authorize activity; a recovery phrase can restore wallet credentials. Both require careful handling away from strangers and online forms.

Follow these checks in order
Know the difference
A private key commonly authorizes an account; a phrase may restore multiple associated accounts.
Never disclose either
Customer support, promotional pages, and strangers have no reason to request the full secret.
Avoid casual digital copies
Do not put secrets into screenshots, shared notes, chat, or unverified online forms.
Verify restoration
Use a trusted recovery flow and compare expected addresses before moving assets.
SECURITY BOUNDARY
Knowing when to pause is part of wallet security
If a network, permission, or phrase request differs from what you expected, stop and verify through an independent, trusted channel. Never sign just because of a timer or an urgent message.
Never enter recovery credentials into an unfamiliar page.
